Gull Wing 2.5 Gallons
GullWing®
is a value-added aquatic herbicide based on the active
ingredient
imazapyr.GullWing™ provides
effective post-emergent and residual control
of target species such as nuisance or exotic trees,
woody brush and emergent lake, wetland, and
shore-line aquatic plants as well as many
floating
plants. Treated plants stop growing in less
than 12
hours, with visible chlorosis within a few
weeks and
plant death 2-4 weeks after application.
GullWing’s low-volume application rates make it ideal for backpack foliar applications and applications made by hydraulic boom, broadcast spray or aerially. GullWing works well alone or in combination with Avocet® or Kraken™ aquatic herbicides.
GullWing can be used in non-crop sites like fence rows and ditch banks (non-irrigation only); industrial sites such as pipelines, electrical substation and rights of way; and aquatic sites including lakes, ponds, estuaries, canals, wetlands and adjacent areas. Water treated with GullWing may be used without restriction for fishing, skiing or swimming and also for watering livestock. Water treated with GullWing must not be used for irrigation of crops or other desirable plants for 120 days or until levels of GullWing are determined to be 1.0 ppb or less.
Controls and prevents:
Torpedo Grass, Phragmites, Purple Loosestrife, Sumac, Willow, Nutsedge, Water Primrose, Pickerelweed, Alligatorweed, Water Lily, Water Lettuce, Water Hyacinth and Brazilian Pepper
General Application
GullWing may be applied by backpack, broadcast application equipment or aerially. Use 5 or more gallons of water per acre for ground-based broadcast application, and 2 or more gallons of water per acre for aerial applications. GullWing may be used at rates between 1 to 6 pints per acre, plus spray adjuvant. Adequate spray volume must be used to ensure uniform distribution of GullWing over the treatment area or target plants. Do not use water treated with GullWing for 120 days or until GullWing concentrations are determined to be 1.0 ppb or less.
